Boris From The Forest

This painting was inspired by one of my favorite pooches, Boris From the Forest. As the story goes, Boris magically appeared one day walking out of the Gunnison National Forest, in Gunnison, Colorado. I met Boris, however, in the summer of 2014 on Santa Monica Beach. Boris is one of the most powerful spirit animals that I've ever met, and we became instant pals. I'm a dog lover and have been around many dogs in my life, but I can honestly say that I've never seen a dog have such a positive impact on everyone who meets him, and who puts such a positive vibe into the air of everywhere that he is. His eyes are mesmerizing ice blue laser beams that are nearly impossible to look away from. As a former mountain man of Colorado, who transitioned into a beach bum in Santa Monica, I identify very powerfully with Boris and his chill almost lackadaisical attitude. Life's too good not to smile and enjoy the ride.
