This piece was my first surf themed painting, and was the inspiration for creating my unique 3-dimensional wave, using heavy molding gel and paint. It was also the first painting I made that utilized the geometric shapes and lines of my brush strokes to capture the form of real life. I was consciously trying to build an image using strokes in an almost jigsaw puzzle style to create a blending feeling.
